21: Nights Out

Enough said. I just realized tonight the local mom's group to which I belong is the main social outlet for many other moms here.  And that's good.  Tonight I am thankful for participating in my local mom's group.

Today I'm thankful for smooth mornings. Teeth, hair, clothes, breakfast, play all happy and easy.

Today I'm so thankful for Trader Joe's Lavender Body Oil.  And my husband.  I'm very relaxed.

Today I am grateful for having making the time to work out again. Although I'm getting my butt kicked daily.

16: Proximity

Today I am grateful that in this very car-centric place we have a park right around the corner.  A school park, so we can't use it until 3. But those 4 PM wiggles - no problem.

Today I am so thankful Erin has an amazing Kindergarten teacher.  She knows what she's doing.

Today I am thankful for vivid dreams. Multiple times a night.  Most nights.

12: Learning

Today I am grateful that we have wonderful learning opportunities for our children.  We have an awesome preschool and an outstanding elementary.  It's such a joy to see the girls thrive.

11: Delayed gratitude

Today I'm eternally, unknowingly, retrospectively grateful for the 4 years, 10 months, 26 days of parenting that have been without Barney.

10: sigh of relief

I'm grateful tonight that Erin has a Kindergarten teacher who is interested in learning, in how learning happens, and in children.  She's the perfect storm of a teacher.

Today I'm thankful I was able to get most of tonight's dinner done in the morning while the kids were in school.

Today I'm thankful that both girls are in school all morning.  This feels awesome.

Today I'm grateful for the amazing summer weather, the pool we belong to, and the friends we have.  We had a great time this evening jumping of the diving board and eating hot dogs.  Not at the same time, mind you.

Today i'm grateful to be in the bay area.  It was so nice to be with family to celebrate birthdays.
